As the great Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. once said “injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” Join us and District 2 Councilman William “Cruz” Shaw as we explore the importance of social justice to our community.

Visitors are invited to learn more about social justice issues facing our community through group activities and books for all ages.

Professor Beatrix Perez will present “Social Justice Heroes”. Professor Perez is a sociology professor and social work advisor at San Antonio College.

She teaches Introduction to Sociology, Social Problems, Minority Women in the U.S., Race and Ethnic Relations, Qualitative Research Methods, Sociology of Aging, and more.
