SA300 Day of Reflection

May 1 is the official birth date of Our City. SA300, in collaboration with the Faith-Based Initiative, planned this interfaith gathering of commemoration. San Antonio was founded in faith with a plaque on the floor of San Fernando Cathedral that marks the spo

We encourage congregational participation and carpooling. Downtown parking is free.

The schedule is as follows:

6:00 PM: Sounds of Faith in San Antonio
(Chants, music and dance at 3 locations on the Plaza)

6:50 PM: Mariachi Procession/Native American Drumming

7:15 PM: Lighting of Commemorative Flame with introduction by Mayor.

7:25 PM: Blessings, prayers and chants by 24 interfaith leaders.

8:18 (20:18): Congregational Bells ringing 300x throughout the city with candlelight vigil.

8:30 PM: Closing remarks followed by light display on the Cathedral (9:30 & 10:00 PM)
