Join American Indians in Texas – Spanish Colonial Missions this Saturday for a unique experience. Grandma Emma Ortega, traditional Lipan Apache storyteller and artist, brings her flare for storytelling, music, wisdom and heart-felt emotion to this afternoon at the laundry-mat. This idea was dreamed together with @librarieswithoutborders who since 2007, have promoted access to data for underserved communities across the nation and around the world. The nonprofit joins local libraries, schools, tutoring programs and other nonprofits to turn housing lobbies, libraries, parks and other public spaces into sites of lifelong learning. Sessions include basic reading, computer skills and writing to financial literacy, health and legal rights.
