When Caring Hurts: A Compassion Fatigue Summit for Nonprofit Professional

Join us for a one-day Compassion Fatigue Summit designed for nonprofit professional caregivers working with children and adults with disabilities, seniors or animal serving-organizations and those impacted by disasters.
In the morning, Amy Cunningham, Talent Management Consultant for CHRISTUS Health and certified Compassion Fatigue Educator will speak about “Helping the Helper – Overcoming Compassion Fatigue, Stress, and Burnout.” She will help participants learn how to recognize compassion fatigue, manage the symptoms and build resiliency, and establish a better work-life balance.
We’ll spend the afternoon participating in interactive sessions learning about physical, mental, emotional and occupational self-care practices. Participants will be asked to choose three of these four sessions during the registration process:
