Volunteers needed to assist migrants traveling through San Antonio en route to their host family destinations across the country.
Assistance includes navigation of San Antonio International Airport, help with printing boarding passes, giving directions, and distributing basic needs at the airport – blankets, meals, etc. Necessary steps are taken to keep volunteers safe, including providing masks, hand-sanitizing stations, and other measures. Free parking will be available for volunteers.
The majority of those arriving at the airport leave within 24 hours. Some require overnight stays and most receiving hotel sheltering depart San Antonio within 48 to 72 hours.
