Arte y Pasión VUELO

FreeSan Antonio College is proud to present the lush performance by Arte y Pasión entitled VUELO. The performance, created specifically for the Opening Ceremonies of the Multicultural Conference of San Antonio College, whose theme is “Education as Revolution,” is about the sacred migration of butterflies as it relates to immigration. Arte y Pasión generates a symphonic balance between the flamenco, classical, performing and fine arts to elevate the Spanish dance art form while emphasizing harmony in diversity.
Arte y Pasión, under artistic direction of Tamara Adira, is an award-winning San Antonio based interdisciplinary flamenco and artistic company comprised of Independent Artists accomplished in their own right. The project, curated by Claudio San Miguel, features Artist Foundation Award Winner Tamara Adira, with dancers Jessica Ahr and Genevieve Obregon, cantaora Chayito Champion, guitarist Randy Cordero, Alex Nicholas percussion, Luke Bonecutter Cello, Ivanna Gomez violin, Edward Lewis performance art, and Andrea Vocab Sanderson spoken word.
The Performance – Ceremony will take place at the Lofton Student Center in the Faculty Lounge, at the heart of San Antonio College, whose address is 1819 N.
