Writers for Migrant Justice at Barrio Barista

September 4, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm

On September 4th, writers from 45+ cities nationwide will be hosting readings in response to the inhumane family separation policy at the U.S./Mexico border.

In San Antonio, Write Art Out and Arrondi Creative Productions is working in collaboration with Mano Amiga, and Borderlands: Texas Poetry Review.

The reading will serve as a fundraiser for Immigrant Families Together with all funds going towards the rapid response needs of family reunification and providing assistance in navigating the legal system. Our goal is $500 ! We will be able to take donations in the form of cash, CashApp, Paypal, and checks written to the order of Immigrant Families Together.

They are curating a closed list of readers but will have time dedicated to an open mic portion of the evening.

List of Readers TBA.

If you are unable to attend the reading but would still like to donate to the cause, here is the link to donate to Immigrant Families Together.  https://www.gofundme.com/f/writers-for-migrant-justice
