Here are a few things your congregation can do to help Seniors and families without heat in their homes:
- Check on those you know within your congregation who might need warmth.
- Check on those who are in close geographical proximity who might need warmth.
- Find solutions to their heat situations and/or open up your congregational facility for the night to provide compassionate aid.
- Offer your facility as a place of warmth to others beyond your immediate congregation and close proximity. If you and yours are open to this possibility, contact COSA’s Faith Community Liaison at ann.helmke@sanantonio.gov, 210/207-5036.
