In the wake and week following Sutherland Springs…
Many have stepped forward – to provide counseling and spiritual care giving, to provide legal aid and assistance, to provide financial planning and structure, to lift candle and pray. Funds will continue to be needed to offset medical care, funeral expenses, financial losses, etc. Thanks to the United Methodist Church/Rio Texas Conference, there is now an online giving portal for people to offer financial support. The funds that come in through this route will be sent directly to Floresville United Methodist Church and from there to the people in need. As with all congregational finances, the receipt and disbursement of these monies will be meticulously tracked and that information available at any time upon request.
Please feel free to announce and share this information in your congregation and/or organization.
Encourage others to sign-up for these Urgent Alerts by texting Compassion to 55000.
May those who suffer so greatly in our nearby Sutherland Springs feel Compassion from the hearts of San Antonio.
